THE BEST OF FREMONT 2009
You took the time and agonized over your favorites. We sharpened our pencils and counted the nominations. The results are ready — at long, long last. The first Fremont Bulletin Best of Fremont Readers’ Choice Awards that follow represent readers’ favorites for the city’s service professionals, restaurants, shops, parks, schools ... you name it.
All ballots were hand-counted and exhaustively reviewed by our staff. The batch of winners for 2009 is represented by many longtime businesses who are really unrivaled in some cases. However, there are some relative newcomers who have already raced to the top.
This survey is not scientific and does not claim to be. But it does reflect opinions of those Fremont residents who feel strongly about a service, store or businessperson, and all votes that were fielded were objectively tabulated.
When the Best of Fremont first-place winner (listed first on the following pages) was closely followed by others, the runners-up (listed second and subsequent) were recognized with what we call an Honor Award. In some categories there is no runner-up; in others there may be two or more.
This list provides recognition for businesses that try harder to satisfy their customers. It is also a good guide for newcomers to get acquainted with merchants recommended by their neighbors, as it has never been more important to shop locally.
